Before filling out the inquiry form below, please review how I work, what my rates are, and what you can expect from our partnership. My goal is to help you polish your manuscript while maintaining your unique authorial voice!

1. Editorial Services & Rates

I offer three distinct tiers of editing. All rates are calculated per word, so you know exactly what your investment will be before we begin.

  • Developmental Editing | $0.03 per word

    • Focus: Story structure, pacing, character arcs, and plot holes.

    • Best for: Rough drafts or authors who feel stuck in the narrative.

  • Copyediting | $0.02 per word

    • Focus: Grammar, syntax, flow, consistency, and style (CMOS).

    • Best for: Polished drafts ready for a professional "shine."

  • Proofreading | $0.01 per word

    • Focus: Typos, punctuation, spelling, and formatting errors.

    • Best for: The little sanity check before you hit publish.

Note: I require a minimum project fee of $150 for short stories or novellas.

2. The Custom Quote Process

Because every manuscript is unique, I do not book projects without a Free Sample Edit.

  1. Submit the Form: Provide your total word count, genre, and a 1,000-word sample.

  2. The Sample Edit: I will return your sample within 48 hours with my Tracked Changes so you can see my editing style.

  3. The Proposal: Along with the sample, I will send a formal quote and a guaranteed delivery date. If you’re happy, we sign a simple contract to begin.

3. What You Will Receive

When the project is complete, you will receive:

  • The Mark-up: A Microsoft Word document with Tracked Changes showing every edit and suggestion.

  • The Clean Copy: A version with all changes accepted for easy reading.

  • The Style Sheet: A custom guide documenting your book's specific spellings, grammar choices, and character descriptions.

  • Editorial Letter: (For Developmental Edits) A multi-page breakdown of high-level feedback and suggestions.

4. Billing & Payments

To keep the process professional and secure, I use the following billing structure:

  • Booking Deposit: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your slot on my calendar.

  • Final Balance: The remaining 50% is due upon completion of the edit, prior to the delivery of the final files.

  • Payment Methods: All invoices are sent via Stripe or PayPal. I accept all major credit cards.
